The One Ring
Two-tone, rose gold and white gold, chosen at the client's request (My wife), set with a natural diamond in a tulip-prong setting. The design pulls from Elven armor and weapon craftsmanship in The Lord of the Rings, their favorite movie, a dagger shank runs into the band, echoing the fine, bladed detailing of Elven daggers, structural but ornamental, like the ring itself was forged rather than cast.
The name isn't subtle, but deliberate. This was designed as the ring, for the one that mattered, built with the same intention as something forged for a single purpose.
My proposal ring, designed from the ground up and made real, from 3D model to something worn on my wife's finger.

Built entirely in Rhino, from the tulip prongs down to the shank detailing. 3D printed multiple iterations to test proportion, comfort, how the shank detailing sat against the hand, and how the prongs will interact with the natural diamond. Prototypes were tested on friends, real hands, real feedback before finalizing and starting production. During this phase. I decided to change the tulip prongs to white gold as the rose gold might reflect into the natural diamond. Which might interfere with the diamond color grading scale visually.
